** Vacancy: Proposal Engineer **
Overview:
Upon receipt of an RFQ, the Proposal Engineer shall be responsible for a thorough review of all applicable documentation and the preparation of a combined commercial and technical proposal. Liaising with the other relevant internal departments to help ensure the proposal is ready for management approval prior to submittal to the client. Responding to Client clarifications and seeking tender feedback.
Key Duties:
• Review the Client’s RFQ documentation and translate into an appropriate proposal.
• Provide applicable client specifications and SOW to the technical department and collate any technical clarifications for discussion with the client.
• Perform material usage calculations using company provided templates.
• Seek internal and external costs for commercial input.
• Prepare the proposal, including both technical and commercial aspects, for internal review in accordance with Client requirements.
• Respond to client clarifications and seek tender feedback.
• Internal handovers to technical and operational teams upon project award.
• Attend both internal and client meeting as required.
• Respond timely and accurately to customers’ requests for information and request for pricing and with and technical clarification needed.
• Prepare Win / Loss reports to each account.
• Immediately reports any loss incurred after order placement by customers.
Qualification/Experience:
• Minimum a Bachelor degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical/Petroleum.
• 10+ years of experience, out of which 5+ YEARS IN KUWAIT ON WINNING PROPOSALS, DIRECTLY WITHIN THE OIL & GAS INDUSTRY is must.
• Good understanding of commercial terms and alternative pricing structures.
• Driven and enthusiastic with a passion and possession for winning.
• Excellent in English language with communication skills and ability to liaise at Client level.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office/PowerPoint/build and deliver presentations.
• Professional efficiency in managing multiple requests/projects in parallel.
• Professional Knowledge of calculus, statistics, and their applications.
• Good team work spirit, good problem solving and pressure working ability.
- Preference for candidates available in Kuwait with transferrable visa (article 18).
